| Description: | Maternity Cover - This is a fixed term appointment for 9 months to June 2009.
The Programme quality coordinator will support programme staff to pursue good practices and agreed Christian Aid approaches to programme cycle management and working with partners. Specifically over the next nine months, you will work with colleagues to finalise an agreed framework of good practices and associated policies and procedures and to ensure that this framework is embedded in Christian Aid's new PROMISE management information system (projected launch date April 2009), induction/training materials and other support resources. The postholder is a member of the Support for Accountability & Learning Team (SALT) and reports to the Head of Programme Innovation & Learning. You will have extensive experience and understanding of programme cycle management and working with partners within an international development context. You will have the knowledge and creativity to help Christian Aid identify and agree the right approaches to enable transformational programmes and projects, and the ability to support programme staff to put these approaches into practice. The ideal candidate will also have a good grounding in one or more of Christian Aid's strategic priorities (rights, gender, capacity development, livelihoods, governance and/or economic justice).
