EUR 36,709 Job Purpose: The Mainstreaming Coordinator will be responsible for providing strategic and implementation support to programmes to effectively mainstream and monitor cross cutting themes like Equality, prevention of Gender Based Violence and HIV and AIDS across the programme. The Mainstreaming Coordinator will also promote learning and reflective practices including programme monitoring and reviews, documentation and sharing of lessons learnt. Main Duties and Responsibilities: General Responsibilities: Support Country Management Team in strengthening coordination and collaboration within teams and across all teams, maintain and ensure constructive communications, contribute to a positive working environment Support organizational initiatives relating to mainstreaming of Equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS, including strategy development, Promote and protect the reputation of Concern in external settings, ensuring that the organization's experience and expertise is well communicated and consistently presented, and that we are looked to as a professional organization. Ensure the efficient use of all Concern resources in order to maximize use of resources for benefiting the targeted communities. Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's Programme Participants Protection Policy to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries. Specific Responsibilities: Lead the process of mainstreaming cross cutting themes mainly equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS in Concern Sierra Leone programme. Provide appropriate support to Programme Coordinators and Programme Managers on mainstreaming of Equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS across programmes. Develop Concern Sierra Leone mainstreaming strategy/framework and support taskforces in organisational mainstreaming and Programme Coordinators in programmatic mainstreaming. Provide appropriate support to programme teams in monitoring mainstreaming of equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS in programmes. With Concern staff, lead the process of developing systems for participatory monitoring of the mainstreaming initiatives using Concern's M&E framework and other innovative frameworks. Support and work with Programme Coordinators and Managers in identifying ways to collect information needed for effective monitoring of mainstreaming initiatives in Concern Sierra Leone, management of information and analysis of information. Ensure lessons learnt from monitoring and evaluations are well documented and disseminated. Support programme teams in developing and implementing advocacy strategies related to mainstreaming of equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS and its effective implementation to achieve programme objectives. Networking and contributing to relevant fora related to mainstreaming of equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS in Sierra Leone. Capacity building and mentoring of a national Mainstreaming Advisor. Capacity building (including trainings) of Programme Coordinators and Programme Mangers as well as partners organizations in taking forward mainstreaming of equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS in their respective programmes. Identify and initiate research work on areas relevant to mainstreaming of cross cutting themes in the country programme, develop Terms and Reference, identify researchers and oversee their work. Person Specification: Essential: A post graduate degree in social work or social sciences or international development. A very good understanding and 2-3 years experience of mainstreaming cross cutting issues like equality, prevention of GBV and HIV and AIDS; and advocacy work. Excellent writing and editing skills. Strong analytical, planning and programme design skills Experience in project/programme monitoring, review and evaluation. Knowledge about participatory research methodologies such as PRA/Focus group Discussions etc., Good communication and strong interpersonal skills, with experience of senior level negotiation, liaison and representation. An appreciation of a consultative, team approach to decision making. A good understanding of development issues, with an emphasis on participation and sustainability. A commitment to the values and principles of Concern and the programme participant's protection policy. Excellent report writing and documentation skills Capacity building (including training) and mentoring skills Ability and confidence to take initiative/proactive leadership Desirable: Experience with logical framework approach Previous work experience in Africa.
